Maintain goods tracking database; labelling goods in with QR code, scanning & tracking until final installation or use (in liaison with offshore teams)
Key Qualifications
Must have Qualification / Experience
- Provide key coordination during port calls & helicopter flight, including deliveries, port interfaces, vessel backloads & loadouts, marshalling personnel etc.
- Support Senior Offshore Site Manager, GSM and Package manager with general administrations tasks
- Upkeep of offshore construction base areas including storage containers & rooms to maintain an excellent level of housekeeping
- Reporting to the Senior Offshore Site Manager on a day-to-day basis
- Provide general administrative support at the Offshore construction base (OCB) within the Port of Lowestoft including:
- Liaison with the Port for site maintenance
- Manage the purchase and receipt of goods and services with the Port
- Responsible for goods in/out using QR code scanning tools to ensure traceability of parts and equipment throughout the wind farm.
- Support the co-ordination of vessel port calls including
- Booking required plant from the port to support the port call
- Co-ordinating with the operators the relocation of required equipment from the stores area to quayside and vice versa.
- Coordination of goods movements to align with vessel port calls & helicopter flights
- General housekeeping of storage areas
- Support helicopter transfers ensuring joining instructions are issued, personnel profiles are created, and general logistics are arranged. This may include transport arrangements between the heli-port and Port of Lowestoft, hotel bookings, hire cars, delivery of personal belongings.
- Optional - Delivery of davit crane operator training to project personnel (training will be provided by the Vanguard projects.
- Optional - Undertake LOLER & PPE inspections & recertifications as required
Key Qualifications
- Strong Computer skills: MS office applications (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) Knowledge and experience of database applications would be advantageous.
- Good report writing skills
- Very strong administration skill
- Compliance with HSE, security and data protection (GDPR) policies.
- Able to work effectively both within a team and alone.
- The role involves close communication with the Personnel Services Package Manager; General Site Manager, Senior Offshore Site Manager & Marine Operations Lead and attention to detail is of paramount importance
- Good intercompany communication skills are important as is the ability to make yourself understood at all levels. Some communication with other European companies is required although English is the contract language.
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Prior experience in a UK port, offshore wind or marine logistics environment (desirable, even if not mandatory).
- Understanding of UK maritime / port procedures (e.g. ISPS Code awareness)
- Ability and willingness to drive between local sites (e.g. heli port, accommodation, port facilities) using company / hire vehicles in the UK.
- Compliance with UK road traffic laws and driving policies.
- Compliance with UK / EU data protection laws (GDPR) when handling personnel profiles, travel data and QR based tracking information.
- Familiarity with corporate IT security practices (strong passwords, handling of mobile devices used for QR scanning, etc.).
Must have Qualification / Experience
- Rigger/slinger/banksman
- Full UK driving licence
